It is that time of year again! With summer coming to a close and autumn quickly approaching it is time to start preparing for winter and freezing temperatures. Be sure to check the back cover of this newsletter for the scheduled date and time of your fall blowout!
Here are some answers to our most frequently asked questions about this vital service:
What if there are freezing temperatures before my system is blown out? Because the ground has not frozen yet, the only part of your system that is vulnerable are the pipes that are coming out of your house that are exposed to the air. Simply cover those pipes with a towel or a blanket to prevent them from freezing.
Does my system really need to be blown out? The fall blowout is an essential service for any lawn irrigation system in our cold weather area. Our experienced technicians use a large air compressor that produces over 100 CFM to blow all of the water out of your pipes. An air compressor of this size is needed to ensure that all of the water is blown out, maintaining tight seals and preventing ruptures caused by freezing.
The scheduled date doesn’t work for me – can I change it? Yes! If our scheduled date or time does not work for you, please call us and let us know. We will be as accommodating as possible.
Why did my neighbors get their system done, but my appointment isn’t until next week? RainMaster has developed a routing process to aid us in completing the many fall blowouts each year. This process has been tweaked and perfected over the years and continues to improve with each passing season. We do our best to route neighborhoods together, but because our scheduled date or time doesn’t always work for everyone, appointments are changed.
